About Us

B.L. MEREDITH and SON was established nearly 90 years ago in 1935 by Bert Meredith who also owned a successful taxi business in his home village, Malpas, in Cheshire. The business grew and Bert was later joined by his son Kevin.

Now many years down the line the business is entrusted to the hands of the third generation and has evolved to be the “Merediths Coaches” that we are today.  In 2020 David Meredith and the team joined the Lakeside Coaches group from the neighbouring county of Shropshire so that this legacy could both continue and flourish with the support of a larger, younger enterprise (Lakeside being nearly 45 years old rather than nearly 90 in the case of Merediths) !

We are still located in Malpas, Cheshire close to Chester and the North West and within easy distance of motorway connections for the whole of the UK.

Able to access the resources of 120 vehicles supported by a team of 150 people means that the future is bright and we can enjoy opportunities when they arise.
